Pena

Serv ices for Leonardo Pena, 72, were held Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, in St. Joseph Cat holic Chu rch with Fat her Ramon Fray na officiating. Burial followed in I. O. O. F. Cemeter y in Rockda le. Mr. Pen a di ed Tu esday, Sept . 6, in East Tex as Med ic al Center in Fair field. He was born April 11, 1939 , in Marian to Julian and Mar ia Rodriguez (Ca st aneda) Pena. He mar ried Maria E. Gonzalez on Nov. 8, 1958, Edinburg.

Mr. Pena was a Fairfield resident for the past two weeks, previously lived in Rockda le and Ne w Braunfels.

Mr. Pena was preceded in death by his wife, Mar ia E. Pena, on Ja n. 10, 2011; a son, Leonardo Pena Jr.; a gr anddaughter, Angel Paiz; two broth ers, Beran ci o and Pasqu al Rod rigue z; and five si sters, Vic - tor ia Guzman, Narcissa Campos, Pet ra Lopez, Mar ia Estella Flores and Rosa Hernandez .

Survivors are two sons, Re ne Pena and wife Kelley of Corsicana, Rol ando Gonzalez Pen a of Rockdale

; two daughters, Martha Paiz and husband Carlos, and Mandy Pena, all of Rockd ale; four brot hers,

Lino Ro dr iguez and Roberto Rodriquez, both of New Braunfels, Ma nu el Cas tan e da a nd Ru be n Castaned a, both of Colorado; and fou r sisters, Lucia Corona of Ne w Br au nfel s, Ly dia A le man, Janie Ramos and Te rr y Casta ned a, all of Colorado; also, 11 grandchildren and se ven gre at- grandchildren.
