Thorndale Chamber welcomes new business

Reporter/Marie Bakken The Thorndale Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) would like to welcome a new business to Thorndale, Falls Capital, Inc./Thorndale Duplexes from Marlin Texas. We welcome this new business and look forward to working with them.

The TACC would like to remind area residents of their support and sponsorship of the upcoming Hunting and Outdoor Expo at Apache Pass this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 23-24. Admission for 2-12 years will be $5 and 13 years and up will be $10. Friday will include school field trips, barbecue cook-off check in and entertainment under the pavilion. Saturday will feature the Camo Pageant Registration at 9 a.m., a skeet shoot at 10 a.m., a Civil War Re-enactment at 1 p.m., barbecue cook-off awards and a 9:00 p.m. Camo Cotillion Dance featuring Lange Debault.

Other activities Saturday will include: archery competition, fly fishing demo lessons, horseshoe/ washer tournament, Texas Parks and Wildlife and Texas Forestry Service displays, outdoor vendors and exhibits. Children’s activities will feature a petting zoo and other activities. Gather your family and head out to Apache Pass for this event-filled day.

The TACC welcomes all citizens to attend their meetings and help with ideas to improve the business climate in Thorndale.
