4-H Celebration set Oct. 2 at TVFD Firemen’s Hall
The Milam County 4- H Celebration set for Sunday, Oct. 2 is for 4-H families and any family interested in finding out more about 4-H. This year the annual 4-H Celebration will be held at the Thorndale Firemen’s Hall. The activity will start at 3 p.m. with the recognition of 4-Hers’ accomplishments, leaders’ guidance and sponsors’ support. Full Story

Applications sought for agricultural advisory board
CAMERON—Chief Appraiser for Milam Count y Appraisal Dist r ic t, Pat r icia J. Moraw, is accepting applications for residents interested in service on the Agricultural Advisory Board.
Applicants must be landowners of the District whose land qualifies for special valuation 1-D or 1-D-1 and must have been a resident of the District for five years. Full Story

FFA, 4-H launch website
A website that tells the story of Texas agriculture has been launched as a joint effort between Texas 4-H, Texas FFA and several Texas farm organizations.
The website is part of an initiative called Texas Proud of Texas Agriculture, where Texas youth will promote the positive story of agriculture across the state. Full Story
The Thorndale FFA/4-H Ag Boosters are selling chance tickets for a 52 Gun Drawing. They will be giving away one gun per week for 52 weeks.
The prizes will be in the form of gift cards to Academy worth the full price of the gun, according to Lori Fisher, spokesperson. Full Story
