‘Come pray with fans at Thorndale games’
In response to the prayerbashing letter from Mr. James Walker dated Sept. 8, it still has me burning.
In Thorndale, when it comes to the time in pre-game ceremonies to pray, we pray!
We invite everyone to join us. No one is forced to.
It is not inappropriate, nor is it a “disturbance of the peace.” If you choose not to bow your head and stand there silently, so be it.
But don’t state publicly that we are imposing religious beliefs when you tell us to pray before the game at home or at church as you did in your letter.
And lastly, it’s okay to call him by his real name, God.
