Janicek attends Veterans Commission training

Ken Janicek, Milam County Veterans service officer, attended the 64th Texas Veterans Commission annual statewide training conference Sept. 12-15 in Houston.

“ The conference was very informative and beneficial in developing knowledge that will enable service officers to better serve veterans, survivors and dependents residing in their county,” Janicek said.

Section 434.038(a), Texas Government Code, requires Veterans county service officers to attend commission training to maint ain cert ific a- tion in order to remai n in office . Cer tification is also require d for tho se who wish to par ticipate in the com mission’s ac credit at ion prog ram.
