Rockdale PTO is currently collecting “Box Tops for Education” at the elementary, intermediate and junior high campuses. This program has raised over $4,000 for these campuses over the past several years, according to Michelle Barcak, spokesperson.

Collecting box tops is an easy way to support RISD schools. Simply clip the box tops from participating products and send them to each campus. Each box top earns 10 cents and that money will stay at the campus the box tops are sent to.

For more information on additional ways to earn box tops rewards for your local schools visit www.btfe.com.

The next Rockdale PTO meeting is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the RJH commons area.

The group would also like to thank Rockdale Signs & Photography, Rockdale Beauty Shop, The Rockdale Reporter, Busy Bea CafĂ©, Rockdale Country Ford, Lee’s Landing, Pizza Hut, Rockdale Sports & Embroidery and Texas Burger/Subway for donating toward the PTO membership drawing.

The Rockdale Intermediate School book fair will be held Oct. 3-7 in the school’s library, according to librarian Sarah Vreeland.

“Family night” will be from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4. Also, if parents would like to volunteer, please call the library at 430- 6120, Vreeland said.
