City’s annual Fa ll Fest Saturday in Milano

Don’ tfo rg etallthat is planned for ourlittle town over the we eke nd. The ann ual Milano Volu nt eer Fire Department’s Ladies Auxi liar y ga rage sale will be hel d Sept . 29 -30 an d Oct . 1 at t he Milano Civic Center/ Fire St ation.

The sale will run 8 a. m. to 5 p. m. Sept. 29- 30 and 8 a. m. to 3 p. m. Oct. 1.

The re are lots of things planne d for Sat urda y’s Fa ll Fest, an annu al event sponsored by the City of Mi lano. Event s include a mini- rod tractor pull, arts and craf ts booths, quilt and car shows, food boot hs and the annual MVFD Aux iliary sale.

Some booths will sell jewelry, Scentsy and ced arfurnit ure. Steve and Rebe cca Telg will be selling barbecue sandwiches and brisket tacos. Their proceeds will go to a pastor and daughter from Bastrop who lost their home and their church. The MVFD firemen w ill be selling sausage wr ap s and drinks as well.

The Milano Elementar y School Fa ll Festival is set for 4: 30 -6:30 p. m . F r id ay, S e pt. 30 at t he school. There will be food items, games , r ide s and muc h mor e. Be sure to come show your suppor t to help classes raise mone y. There will also be a silent auction on those awesome theme d basket s. The Milano Element ary PATCH Club is collecti ng “Box Tops for Education” as par t of the ir fund- rais ingactivitie s this ye ar. You ca n find them on severa l food items. Just cut them out and send t hem to school with your child. It’s free money for our school.

The Mila no Exes reunio n w ill be held Sat urday, Oct. 29 at the MHS ca fetorium. Doors will open at 10 a. m. with a fajita meal from The Crossing being ser ved at noon.
