PARTY ANIMAL—Eleven-year-old April Morgan recently had a birthday party and instead of gifts she asked those in attendance to consider donations for the HOPE Animal Rescue Shelter in Hearne. This shelter is a “no-kill” shelter and the animals are kept until a home is found for them. April, the daughter of Darrell and Wendy Morgan of Milano, raised $103.84 and was able to purchase 20 small animal beds to donate to the shelter.
