Milano Fall Fest, MVFD Auxiliary garage sale Saturday
MILANO—The annual Milano Fall Festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1 in the city’s downtown area.
City secretary Carolyn Vinton said that booths space is still available for arts and crafts. Booths are available for $20 and the sellers keep 100 percent of their profit.
The annual Milano VFD Ladies Auxiliary garage sale will begin at 8 a.m. each day, starting Thursday, Sept. 29, and will run through Saturday, Oct. 1. The garage sale will be held at the Milano Civic Center/ Fire Station, two blocks east of the Milano Post Office. Thursday and Friday the sale will run until 5 p.m. and the group will end things at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
For more information, contact Carolyn Vinton 512-455-2364, Jane Yoakum at 512-446-5110 or Lois Love at 512-455-7915.
There will be plenty of things to see that day as well if sales aren’t your speed. A car and motorcycle show, tractor show, quilt show, food vendors, minirod tractor pull and plenty of arts and crafts are all on tap as well.
Breakfast fajitas and barbecue sandwiches from The Crossing will be on sale with proceeds going to a pastor and his daughter who lost their homes and church during the recent Bastrop wildfires. The Milano VFD will sell sausage wraps and cold drinks.
The mini-rod tractor pull will get underway at 1 p.m. and is sponsored by Texas Minirod Tractor Pullers Association. For more tractor pull info, visit www.tmtpa.com.
