Knight

Services for Dorothy Knight, 88, of Milano were held Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at Phillips & Luckey Chapel. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale, with Rev. Billy Wayne Borho officiating.

Mr s. K n ig ht d ied Thu r sday, Sept. 22, 2011, in Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.

She was born Aug. 26, 1923, in Sabine County to James T. and Exa (Roberts) Foley.

She married Owen N. Knight on April 2, 1942, in Houston.

Mrs. Knight had been a Milano resident for the past 64 years.

She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Milano.

Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Owen Knight, on May 6, 1988; a granddaughter, Greta Wadlington; six brothers and two sisters; a son-in-law, Walter “Pokey” Brown; and a daughterin law, Linda Knight.

Survivors are two sons, George Knight of Franklin, Leon Knight and wife Sharon of Gause; seven daughters, Jewel Shaw and husband Jim of Rockdale, Carolyn Brown of Arlington, Dell Thurman and husband Kent “Buddy,” Nancy Wadlington and husband Larry, JoAnn Reistino and husband Carl, Mary Honeycutt and husband Steve of Milano, Linda Gail Pace and husband Dwayne, all of Milano; a sister, Myra Mae Ferguson of Rosevine; a sister-inlaw, Avis Foley of San Antonio; and a special friend, Jean Blalock of Caldwell; also, 27 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Clint Shaw, Walter Brown III, Ray Knight, Mat t hew Thur ma n, A nd rew Thurman, Owen Knight, Larry David Roach, Lucas Roach, T.J. Roemelin, Joshua Honeycutt, Tyler Endsley and Rhett Endsley.
