Patschke

Services for Richard C. Patschke, 76, of Rockdale were held Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, in Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale. Burial was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale with Rev. Jan Campbell officiating.

Mr. Patschke died Tuesday, Sept. 20, in Manor Oaks Nursing Center in Rockdale.

He was born Nov. 28, 1934, in Lexington to Walter and Emily (Kasper) Patschke.

He married Jeanette Reuther on Sept 14, 1957, in Giddings.

They were Rockdale residents for the past 52 years.

Mr. Patschke worked as an auxiliary operator and foreman with Texas Utilities (formerly I.G.C.), retiring in 1989 after 34 years.

He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale, member and past-president of IBEW, and was a U. S. A rmy veteran, serving from December 1957 to December 1959.

Mr. Patschke enjoyed playing dominoes and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Blake Burrough, on Nov. 12, 1988.

Survivors are his wife, Jeanette Patschke of Rockdale; two daughters, Sandra Burrough and husband Ronnie, Susan Ehler and husband David, all of Rockdale; two sisters, Jeanette Stence and husband Shelby of Lexington, Marilyn Davis and husband Terry of Giddings; five grandchildren, Cody Burrough and wife Leanne, Casey Burrough, Jason Ehler and wife Heather, Chad Ehler and Alyssa Ehler; and two greatgrandchildren, Kayla Ehler and Blaise Samford.

Pallbearers were Jason Ehler, Chad Ehler, Cody Burrough, Casey Burrough, Russell Zoch, Tim Stence, Robert Stence and Michael Eichler.
