Weise Weise THORNDALE—Celebration of Life services for Wilbert “Uti” Otto Weise, 81, were held Wednesday, Sept 28, 2011, at St. Paul Luthera n Church in Thorndale with burial following at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Mr. Weise died Friday, Sept. 23, at SPJST Rest Home in Taylor, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

He was born June 30, 1930, to Herman and Louise (Winters) Weise in Thorndale.

Mr. Weise was baptized, confirmed and continued to be an active, lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Thorndale.

He graduated from Thorndale High School and continued his education at Blinn College, where he received a BBA degree.

Mr. Weise was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He worked several jobs but will be remembered most from his job at Carol’s.

On Feb. 12, 1994, he married Ima Jean Beard.

Mr. Weise was a member of VFW Post No. 4009 and held several offices.

He also held offices with the local Germania Insurance.

Mr. Weise was honored as Citizen of the Year in 2000 by Thorndale Chamber of Commerce.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Ima Jean Weise; a sister, Ruby Mueller and husband Marty; a brother, Herman Weise and wife Loraine; and his stepchildren, Kellye Pelzel, John Pelzel and wife Tracy, Krystal Vickers and husband Mathew; also, seven step-grandchildren, a step-great-grandchild, three nephews, three nieces, five great-nephews and five greatnieces.

Pallbearers were Gary Weise, Ron Mueller, Rick Mueller, Paul Noyd, Harvey Roensch and Billy Beard.
