Two arrested in ‘truck chop’ operation

North North Two men have been arrested in connection with an incident last month in which a GMC 5500 truck was taken apart near Davilla.

Chief Deputy Chris White said Christopher North of Buckholts and Bradley Young of Temple were charged w ith theft and authorities are continuing a search for other released crimes they believe may have been committed in Milam County.

White said a trespassing call near Davilla led deputies to discover the truck had been “chopped up.”

“The cab and flat bed portion were still on the property, along with miscellaneous truck parts, while the engine and chassis were found about two miles away on a separate property.”

White said the truck had been reported stolen from a business near Salado. A trailer which was attached when it was stolen was discovered parked off County Road 417.

“A nyone w ith information regarding the case or suspects should contact me at the sheriff’s department,” White said.
