The Lady Tigers (6-19, 0-4) fell 11-25, 16-25, 19-25.

Lisa Vest had five kills and Shelbie Evans t wo block s against LaGrange.

Jill Young added eight digs and Victoria Drake two aces. Drake and Amanda Boyd each set eight assists on the night.

The Lady Tigers’ junior varsity squad lost 25-22, 15-25, 8-25 to LaGrange. Rockdale’s freshmen also lost to the Lady Leopards ninth grade team 13-25, 12-25.

The Lady Tiger varsity fell on the road in Giddings on Friday night. Rockdale lost 11-25, 9-25, 18-25.

Jill Young had a standout night with five kills and 10 digs on the night.

Lisa Vest put up four blocks and two aces. Victoria Drake set eight assists.

Rockdale’s sub-varsity squads also fell to Giddings on Friday night.

The junior varsity fell 20-25, 21-25. The freshmen took it to three game, falling 25-17, 17-25, 17-25.

The Lady Tigers will look for their first district win when they visit Navasota on Friday, with games starting at 4:30 p.m.

Navasota was the only team Rockdale beat in district play last season.

The Lady Tigers will start the second round of 23-3A action as they travel to Caldwell on Tuesday. Games will start at 5 p.m.

They will stay at home for their next two matches against Smithville and Giddings, before closing out the season.
