Tigers looking for ‘bleacher creatures’

Be a part of Tiger football Friday nights by running onto the field with the Tigers as a “Bleacher Creature.”

Spokesperson Rebecca King said the program fee is $15 and includes a T-shirt and admission into Tiger football games.

Students must be accompanied into the game by a parent/guardian.

Shirts will be ready for the Oct. 14 game against Smithville.

This is a fun athletic support program for boys and girls ages three through fifth grades, King said. Bleacher Creature games for 2011 will be Oct. 14 vs. Smithville and Oct. 28 vs. Giddings.

Students are to arrive 15 minutes prior to kick-off to form a spirit line for the Tigers, then run through the tunnel after the Tigers.

Each child that is younger than third grade must be picked up by their parent/guardian immediately after running onto the field. Pick up children at the east end of the football field.

Students in 3rd-5th grades have the opportunity to sit together during the game in the bleachers in front of the band. Students will be supervised by school employees and must follow the Student Code of Conduct.

Students participating in the “Bleacher Creature” program must have a parent/guardian present at the game.

Forms are available at Rockdale Elementary and Intermediate schools and more info is available at www.rockdalaisd.net.
