Angel Kisses grand opening set Saturday

LEXINGTON—Angel Kisses Antiques, a new antique mall in Lexington, will host their grand opening on Saturday, in conjunction with the Lexington Chamber of Commerce annual Chocolate Lovers Festival. Both events will be held on the square in downtown Lexington.

Judy Barrett, the founding editor and publisher of “HOMEGROWN: Good Sense Organic Living for Texas”, will be at the shop that morning from 10-11 a.m., signing her newest book “What Makes Heirloom Plants So Great?”.

Donnie Zeuhs, furniture restorer extraordinaire, will also be featured at Angel Kisses on Saturday. He will demonstrate his prowess and knowledge from noon until 1 p.m., sharing his 35 years of experience for the benefit of all of us who love the craftsmanship of olde.

Ed Kliman, a musician based in the Lexington area who has been touring in Europe all summer, will entertain the visitors to Angel Kisses Antiques on Saturday also. He will be playing country, blues, rock and the occasional Cajun waltz, as well as taking requests. Ed will be at Angel Kisses Antiques beginning at 1 p.m.

Maribeth Harvey, owner of Southern Re-Design, will bring her unique ability to make any space beautiful and cozy from 2-3 p.m.

Angel Kisses will provide coffee and cake from 3-4 p.m., giving visitors a chance to taste some of the fare entered into this year’s Chocolate Lovers Festival’s Best Baking Contest.
