Local attorney earns place on ‘Super Lawyers’ list

Dodd Dodd CAMERON—Richard A. Dodd, a partner with Cappolino Dodd Krebs LLP in Cameron, has been named to the Texas Super Lawyers list as one of the top attorneys in Texas for 2011.

The new Super L awyers list will be be pub- lished in the October issue of Texas Monthly, which is on the newsstand now.

This peer-reviewed recognition comes on the heels of the announcement in August that the firm was named one of the “ Top 20” personal injury law firms in the nation by Newsweek magazine.

“ This recognition from two major sources is humbling.” said Dodd. “It is a concrete demonstration of our commitment to helping our clients find the resources they need to recover from serious injuries.”

More important than this recognition, Dodd said, is the fact that he and his partners have made the lives of many ordinary working people better.

“When many of our clients come to us they are hurting and frightened. They are often struggling with serious injuries and have huge medical bills, or they’ve lost a loved one in an accident and don’t know where else to turn.”

Cappolino Dodd Krebs LLP represents people in complex litigation including asbestos exposure, birth trauma, personal injury, product liability, oil and gas lease royalties and wrongful death.

Dodd grew up on a farm in rural Milam County and brings the work ethic he learned there to his profession. Farming continues to be a big part of his life.

He is very active with environmental conservation efforts, which is evident in hobbies such as bird watching, raising acres of wildflowers and planting thousands of trees. He supports local arts organizations, FFA and 4H groups as well as national organizations, like the Brain Injury Foundation and Autism Speaks, that work to make life better for the disabled.

Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of recognition from other attorneys, and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a rigorous multiphased process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. Fewer than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by Super Lawyers.

Cappolino Dodd Krebs has offices in Temple, Cameron, Austin and The Woodlands. More information about the firm may be found at www.AsbestosLaw. com.
