He was the son of Dr. Gordon Pratt, orthodontist, who has served countless dental patients in Rockdale over many decades, practicing one day per week in local dentists’ offices.

KNOXVILLE, TN—Funeral services for Samuel Alfred “Al” Jones, 88, were held Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Calvary United Methodist Church.
Mr. Jones died Sept. 27.
He retired as vice president of Alcoa after 37 years of service. He was the first production superintendent at Alcoa’s Rockdale Operations when the smelter began making aluminum in 1952. Full Story
