VFW lists winners in cookoff, run

Reporter/MIke Brown Chili cooks (L-R) Paul Leopold Jr., Barton Crane Dusty Leopold, Brian Wallis, Brady Nelson Jr. Reporter/MIke Brown Saturday was a day of fun and fellowship at VFW Post 6525 with the first-ever MAP Motorcycle Run and the post’s fall chili cookoff.

The run, benefitting the Military Assistance Program, raised $4,600 for military families and drew 55 bikers plus 10 riders, according to Rod Roderick, event chair.

Results of Saturday’s events were listed as follows by Roderick and Nora Adcock, cookoff secretary:

MAP RUN

Best of show/ best metric— Anthony Morrison.

Best custom—Billy Anderson.

Best bagger—Rod Roderick.

Best stock—John Olson.

CHILI COOKOFF

Beans

1st—Paul Leopold and Dusty Leopold.

2nd—Brady Nelson.

3rd—Brian Wallis.

Stew

1st—Paul Leopold and Dusty Leopold.

2nd—Brady Nelson. 3rd—David Baxter.
