Swayze

Services for Ruby Lange Swayze, 97, of Cameron, formerly of Rockdale and Utopia, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at Phillips & Luckey Chapel in Rockdale with Rev. David Persons of Thorndale officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Rockdale.

Visitation is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Mrs. Swayze died Monday, Oct. 17, at Winnie L. Nursing Home in Cameron.

She was born July 13, 1914, in Thorndale to Fred F. Lange and Georgia R. Gooch.

She mar ried Ja mes G raha m Urban Swayze on Oct. 21, 1933, in Cameron.

Mrs. Swayze was a homemaker and a Cameron resident since June 2011.

She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale and attended Utopia United Methodist Church while she lived in Utopia.

Mrs. Swayze was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Swayze, on June 14, 2004; a sister, Kathleen Lange Fiori; two brothers, Lawrence W. Lange and Porter Key; and a stepbrother, Alton Key.

Survivors are a daughter, Patricia Larsen and husband Phillip of San Antonio; a brother, Robert Key and wife Dale of Sealy; a sister, Waughndel Stricker and husband Ralph of Carriere, Mississippi; two grandchildren, Lynn Katherine Larsen of Colorado, James Phillip Larsen and wife Abigail of San Antonio; and two great-grandchildren, Erik Larsen of San Antonio, Virginia Smith and husband Jason of Colorado.
