County jobless rate holds steady
Texas’ rate still highest since mid-1980s
Unemployment numbers across the state and in Milam County held steady for the month, according ot reports released Friday by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
The unemployment rate in Milam County stayed steady at 10.2 percent for the month and is also the same as it was for September 2010. Full Story

Alcoa Foundation responds to Bastrop County disaster
Alcoa Foundation has designated a $15,000 disaster relief grant to Bastrop County, impacted by the destruction of recent wildfires.
