Milam County to get first signs along historic trail
History is happening right before our eyes. Aaron Mahr with the National Park Service in Santa Fe, New Mexico made an announcement in Bastrop Friday about Milam County’s El Camino Real signage.
He said Milam is the f irst county in Texas and Louisiana to receive the NPS signs for the trail.
Steve Burns and Kristin Van Fleet of NPS presented the plan to install signs. Full Story

One way to alert yourself to possible frauds is to follow the news. Current events drive many con artists to act on what is familiar in the news papers, radio, and television.
Watch for charities asking for earthquake relief for the citizens of Turkey because of the earthquake, or some attempt to defraud citizens based of the military coming home for the holidays. Full Story
