Building permits $33,500 to start new fiscal year

City building permits were up for the month at $33,500. That is compared to $28,800 in permits that were issued in September.

The October 2011 permits amount brings the total for the 2011 calendar year to $894,618.19.

Building permits are issued at City Hall and reflect only construction in the city limits.

October began a new fiscal year for the city, so the $33,500 is the total for that category thus far. June’s total of $336,137.98, was the highest month for both calendar and fiscal year 2011..

Permits issued during the last month were as follows:

Glynn Phillips, 806 Mill, add on 48x12; William Stork 629 Hairston, fence; El Corral Lozano Tacos, 1020 E. Cameron Ave., 2 4x8 signs; Allpride Construction for David and Brenda Young, 501 San Gabriel, remodel; 631 Corporation, 133 N. Main St. add wall and door.
