STATE BOUND—Thorndale High School’s band is headed to the UIL state marching contest after finishing second at regional competition in Belton. The only other band to have a better performance at Saturday’s contest was Milam County neighbor Cameron Yoe. Both bands will compete at the state contest on Nov. 7 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Other bands in that region to advance to state were Clifton and Eastland.
