Mekush benefit Nov. 12th

Milam County Cowboy Church’s annual ranch rodeo, set for Nov. 12 in the Roping & Cutting Club Arena at Fair Park, will be a benefit for Cameron area resident Della Mekush.

Mekush was seriously injured in a fall from a horse Aug. 19.

Rev. Greg Spears, pastor, said there will be activities during the day for all ages, including dummy roping. He said chute roping will be held from 12-noon to 2 p.m.

The ranch rodeo gets under way at 6 p.m. Events include branding, sorting, mugging and milking.

There will be a silent auction, live auction and door prizes.

“We will feature many donated cowboy items in the silent and live auctions,” he said.

Admission is by donation.
