Here are winners announced in the Rockdale Downtown Association’s annual meeting, held last week. Presenting the awards were RDA president Chris Dyess (R) and director Mary Lee Dyess. Below, Kim Finley, whose community service over the past year included re-painting downtown area fire hydrants, received the RDA’s Shining Star Award for outstanding service. Directors, elected for a two-year term, are Chris Dyess, Mary Lee Dyess, Bernie Finley, Kim Finley, Elaine Gerren, Rita Juergens, Joyce Dalley, Collier Perry, Ernestine Betchan, Toby Johnson and Joyce Ford.
