A new assessment
The Texas legislature has been focused on measuring student achievement since 1980. The method of measuring achievement has been a written multiple choice test. Over the years and now decades this measurement tool has changed names and difficulty. It has also mostly focused on accessing minimal skills required for student learning. Full Story
RES ‘going green’ with recycling program
Students hope to get community involved in efforts as well
The importance of the envir onment and recycling are being implemented at Rockdale Elementary School with a new recycling program and response has been overwhelming, according to RES iTigers after school coordinator Brooksy Fisher and iTigers and RES teacher Lindsey Lillard, the brainstorming team of the new program. RHS Project Grad sets Monday meeting
Rockdale High School’s Project Graduation 2012 group will have a meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21 in the high school cafeteria, spokesperson Emily Tarver has announced. Full Story
