‘Unauthorized use, drug arrests made by Rockdale police

POLICE REPORT

A 36-year-old Rockdale man was arrested last week and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, according to police.

Ronald Erskin Martin was also charged with two counts of violation of a protective order, according to Lt. J. D. Newlin.

Martin remains in custody in the Milam County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Two felony drug arrests were made during the week as follows:

• George Grayson Sr., 60, Rockdale, possession of a controlled substance (less than one gram), released on $2,500 bond.

Kelly Ryan Wallace, 42, Austin, possession of a controlled substance (less than one gram), bond set at $6,000.

ACCIDENT—No injuries were reported in a 1:39 p.m. Thursday accident in which a pickup struck a tree on FM 908 south.

Driver was listed as Jennifer Lehmann, 18, of Bryan. Damage estimates were not listed by police.

THEFT—Newlin said between $400 and $500 in cash was taken from the Piano Bar during the week.

Police said two bicycles were reported stolen. “One was recovered and one arrest was made,” Newlin said.

CITATIONS—Police issued traffic citations as follows:

Thirty-four for speeding, five each for no valid MVI sticker and operating a vehicle with an expired license plate, four for failure to maintain financial responsibility, two each for using a cell device in a school zone and no driver’s license and one each for expired driver’s license, running a stop sign and unsafe start from a stopped position.

CALLS—There were 141 service calls for the past week by police, along with 88 through the 911 system.
