Reineke

CAMERON—Funeral services for Herman Reineke, 88, of Cameron were held Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Cameron. Burial followed in Old Marak Catholic Cemetery in Marak.

Rosary was recited on Monday, Nov. 21, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.

Mr. Reineke died Saturday, Nov. 19, in a Cameron nursing facility.

A retired farmer and mechanic, he was born Aug. 19, 1923, in Milam County to Fritz and Annie (Blosch) Reineke.

Mr. Reineke was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church.

Mr. Reineke was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye, in 2008 and three sisters, Linda Neumann, Elizabeth Janes and Katherine Fuessel.

Survivors include a sister, Agnes Vaughn of Colleyville, Tennessee, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
