Lady Tigers off to best start since 2008-09 season
If winning translates into fun, the Rockdale Lady Tigers are having a blast.
The Lady Tigers recorded their fifth straight win to open the season, handling Austin Lanier 53-36 Tuesday night at Tiger Gymnasium.
This is the best start by a Rockdale girls team since Janet Havelka’s squad opened the 2008 season at 5-0.

DRIPPING SPRINGS—Falls City lost 16 starters off its state championship team of 2010.
Don’t ask the Milano Eagles to feel sorry for them.
The Eagles couldn’t over come early turnovers and a little bit of nerves, falling 47-13 to the defending state champion Falls City Beavers in the Class A Division II state football playoffs. Full Story
Dickerson rolls perfect 300
Thorndale girls coach reaches victory milestone
THORNDALE—It was a special night on Friday as the Thorndale Lady Dogs won their home opener of the 2011 season.
What made the victory worth remembering was that it handed head coach Bradl ey Dickerson his 300th career varsity victory.

Tigers use extra time to edge Snook
SNOOK—Wendell Mitchell converted a layup with two seconds remaining in overtime to push the Tigers past Snook 57- 56 Friday night on the road.
The layup completed a 27-point evening for the freshman point guard as he rallied Rockdale from a third quarter deficit.
The Tigers (1-1) outscored the 0-2 Blue Jays 10-9 in the extra period. Full Story
