Milam burn ban lifted ‘indefinitely’
Milam County Commissioners on Monday, citing recent rains, lifted the county’s rural outdoor burning ban indefinitely.
The ban will be a topic for future meetings.
Three restrictions remain in effect:
• No burning after dark.
• No burning when winds are more than 15 miles per hour.
• Notify your fire department for large burns, such as agriculture burns and brush piles.
All of the above applies only to rural areas. Rockdale has its own permanent burn ban inside the city limits.
