Prosecutor won’t seek death penalty in 2010 incident at day care center
SAN MARCOS—A final pre-trial session in the case of a former day care center owner, charged with causing the death of the 10-week- old son of an ex-Rockdale Junior High band director, is scheduled next week in Hays County 22nd District Court. Full Story
Santa letter deadline looms December 14th
Wednesday, Dec. 14 is the final day to submit a letter to Santa to be published in The Rockdale Reporter.
Earlier submissions are encouraged. Letters must contain both first and last names of children to be published. Full Story
One more filing in 2012 primaries during past week
There was one additional filing for the 2012 primaries during the past week in Milam County and it appears the county will have a new representative in Congress come 2013.
As expected, Karen Berry has filed for the office of tax assessor collector in the Republican Primary.
She opposes incumbent Kollette Morgan in that primary. Full Story
