The faces of Christmas



There were lots of happy ones in downtown Rockdale Friday and Saturday as a two-day Christmas party unreeled just in time to beat a nearly three-inch rainfall. Above, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus (Tony and Barbara Walko) arrived in a gleaming white surrey at the conclusion of Saturday’s night parade. Driver Darla Jackson substituted horses for reindeer. At left, Morgan Brown and “Cody” captured best overall male, best dog and best dog and owner costumes in the pet show. Eleven-month-old Cassandra Banegas wasn’t real sure how to react to her first trip to see Santa, Saturday afternoon in the I&GN Depot Museum.
