Parade, kids events part of celebration
It feels a lot more like Christmas after Rockdale threw itself a red-and-green yuletide party Friday and Saturday downtown.
Biggest draw was the night, lighted parade which blazed down US 79 Saturday.
Earlier in the day, and on Friday, there were numerous events at Wolf Park and the International & Great Northern Depot-Museum. Full Story

Rockdale High School graduate Mic Trotty (Michael Trotty) has recently been awarded the position of the 2012 CW Austin

Christmas parade, free meal set for downtown Saturday
A y uletide time of f un is planned for Saturday in Milano with city’s annual Christmas parade and free holiday meal. The theme for this year’s Christmas parade in Milano will be “small town Christmas.” The parade will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with parade line up at 9:30 a.m. at the football field/elementary school parking lot, a new starting spot this year.
