Rockdale native Mic Trotty awarded CW Austin Star

Trotty Trotty Rockdale High School graduate Mic Trotty (Michael Trotty) has recently been awarded the position of the 2012 CW Austin

Star.

The enter- tainment network is in its fourth year of hosting the position, which includes a oneyear contract to represent the station as the face, voice and personality of the CW Austin.

As the new CW Austin Star, Trotty will appear in various radio, print and internet promotions, as well as host and run various CW parties, concerts and contests.

“I’m very excited to win this position, it’s pretty much my dream job,” said Trotty. “I look forward to meeting all the different celebrities and experiencing all that Austin has to offer.”

A fter graduating Rockdale High School in 2004, Trotty went on to graduate from Stephen F. Austin University, majoring in Radio/TV. He is the son of Emory and Sheila Trotty.

“ I’m just glad to represent Rockdale and show everybody back home that through hard work and dedication, dreams do come true.”
