Rockdale area came to rescue of Christmas Roundup effort
A popular former band director of Rockdale High- School occasionally brought the band to attention, then instructed the young musicians to raise their hands above their heads, turn their palms inwards, bend their elbows, and “give yourselves a pat on the back.”

J. H. Boyer’s Famous Shows was bringing a Jesse James Wild West Tent Show to Rockdale with 30 participants, including a 15-piece orchestra.
Rockdale Catholics were constructing a new church and hoped to have it completed in time for Christmas masses.
