Jentsch named first-team all-state on AP

The senior was named the firstteam punter on the Associated Press Class A All-State football team.

Jentsch averaged 41.2 yards per kick and placed 11 punts inside the 20-yard line.

Jentsch was also named honorable mention as a defensive lineman.

Teammate Dominique Messer was an honorable mention selection for the second year in a row for his performance at linebacker.

Despite his slender 6-foot-4, 175-pound build, the junior was a punishing tackler, flying around the field to make 149 stops in 2011, tops on the 10-2 Eagles.

Cameron junior lineman Josh Smitherman was named second team on the Class 2A team.
