Police arrest two on separate felony charges

Rockdale police assisted the Milam County Sheriff’s Department in a major drug raid Friday (see page 1A).

Police also arrested two men on separate felony charges.

Mozell Williams, 22, of Hearne was charged with aggravated assault/threaten with a deadly weapon in connection with an incident with a pellet gun, according to Lt. J. D. Newlin.

“ The gun was not fired and there were no injuries,” Newlin said.

Williams remains in the Milam County Jail. His bond was set at $20,000.

Thomas Stone Hairston, 24, of Rockdale was arrested on a forgery of a financial instrument warrant from Williamson County. He is being held without bond.

Police also investigated two domestic incidents, making one arrest.

ACCIDENTS—Vehicles operated by Ronald Pair of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Palvinder Singh, 52, of Plano, were in collision at 4:16 p.m. Monday at the US 77-79 overpass.

Police said injury and damage information wasn’t available.

No injuries, and minor damages, were reported in a two-vehicle accident at 2:08 p.m. Friday at the Ackerman- Cameron ( FM 487-US 79) intersection.

Police listed drivers as Allen Faust, 19, of Cameron and Joyce Skinner, 75, of Rockdale.

Minor damage, and no injuries, were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 4:42 p.m. Dec. 13 at Main and Cameron (FM 908 and US 79). Drivers were listed as Thomas Bounds, 77, and Jonathan Horton, 36, both of Rockdale.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
