The home of Dav id a nd Elisha Betchan, 1137 Allday, won top honors in the annual Christmas Lighting/Decoration Contest, sponsored by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce.
It was the second straight “top three” finish for the home, which was third overall in the 2010 contest

Gause churches set times for Christmas weekend services

Relay-benefit dance slated New Year’s Eve

Beery earns lodge Humanitarian Award
Elein Beery of Rockdale received the 2011 Hermann Sons Humanitarian Award for volunteer service to her community on Tuesday, Dec. 13, during Cameron Lodge 140 hermann Sons annual Christmas Party and meeting.

Westbrooks win city’s annual Christmas decorations contest
Judging was held and winners announced in the City of Milano’s annual Christmas decorations contests. Gary and Glenda Westbrook took first place honors, followed by Mary Honeycutt in second place, Maria Gallegos in third place and Nellie Ryan in fourth place. Congratulations to ever yone.
