Reporter/Mike Brwn The home of Dav id a nd Elisha Betchan, 1137 Allday, won top honors in the annual Christmas Lighting/Decoration Contest, sponsored by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce.

It was the second straight “top three” finish for the home, which was third overall in the 2010 contest

Results were listed as follows by Deedra Jacob, Chamber president:

First overall—David and Elisha Betchan, 1137 Allday.

Second overall—Tim and Glenda Guthrie, 703 Vogel.

Third overall—Mark and Karen Muston, 217 Bowser.

Best business—1. Olde Tyme Friends, 117 East Cameron; 2. Elements@Main, 215 Main; 3. Love’s Flowers & Gifts, 123 West Cameron.

Best animated—Tim and Robin Storey, 2008 Highland.

Best door—John and Vivian Collier, 1802 Sager.

Best window— Nicho- las and Rebecca Gerren, 414 Rice.

Best lights—Linda Juarez, 614 Francine.

Judging was held Thursday night.

Winners were presented their wards in a brief ceremony Monday evening and the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce rock house headquarters. (See page 2A).
