Deputies investigate two sexual assaults in county, one arrested

The Milam County Sheriff’s Department investigated two reports of sexual assaults during the past week with one arrest made.

Jason Patrick Allison, 36, of Burlington was arrested by Deputy Paul Benton on Dec. 20 and charged with sexual assault of a child.

Allison was released after posting $30,000 bond.

Also on Dec. 20, Deputy Jay Beathard begin an investigation of a reported sexual assault on County Road 450 in the Thorndale area.

Sixteen calls for livestock running loose were answered by the department during the week.
