Three draw sentences

CAMERON—Three persons were sentenced last week in 20th District Court, according to Prosecutor Kerry Spears, who listed case dispositions as follows:

• Edward Jay Herrera, 41, Rockdale, pleaded no contest to indecency with a child, seven years deferred adjudication probation, 90-day jail term, no contact with victims or any child under age 18.

• Brian Mitchell Hunter, 23, Oklahoma, pleaded no contest to possession of a controlled substance (less than one gram), four years deferred adjudication probation, substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment, prohibited from attending Nocturnal Fest type concerts or festivals, $140 restitution.

• Stuart Bradford Miller, 21, Plano, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance (1-4 grams), five years deferred adjudication probation, substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment, prohibited from attending Nocturnal Fest type concerts or festivals, $1,500 fine, $140 restitution.

The burn ban for Milam County has been lifted. Burning is always prohibited in the county's municipalities.
