Two sentenced in court action
CAMERON—Prosecutor Kerry Spears said two persons were sentenced last week in District Court action. She listed them as follows:
• Melissa Donnette Clifton, 40, Cameron, pleaded “true” to violating probation conditions for driving while intoxicated (DWI), probation revoked and five-year prison term invoked. Full Story
New campus intervention consultant talks to board
The “campus inter vention” consultant assigned to the Rockdale ISD by the Texas Education Agency made her initial report to the Rockdale ISD school board Tuesday evening.
Dr. Nancy Vaughan was assigned to the district due to the academically unacceptable ratings assigned to Rockdale High School and Rockdale Junior-High School in August. Full Story

Funeral pending for businessman
At presstime Wednesday, funeral services were being scheduled for longtime Rockdale businessman Edward P. Williams.
Mr. Williams, 80, died on Tuesday.
Wallace Jones, owner of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home told The Reporter on Wednesday morning that services were being discussed for Friday but had not yet been set. Full Story
