TOP TEACHER—Kelly Brymer, Pre-Kindergarten teacher at St. Paul Lutheran School in Thorndale has been named the 2012 Outstanding Early Childhood Teacher in the Texas district, according to school principal Cindy Melcher. ‘She has been instrumental in the development of St. Paul’s early childhood program,’ Melcher said. In 1999, Brymer began with seven students in a small classroom for a half day session and is now the director of a two classroom-two teacher program that serves more than 20 students in the Thorndale area. The District Director of School Ministry, Dr. Bill Hinz, allowed Melcher to present the plaque as a surprise to Brymer as a part of the worship service on Sunday. She will also be recognized at the District ECE Conference on Friday in Houston. Pictured are (l-r) Melcher, Brymer and Scott Schaefer, St. Paul school board chairman.
