Andrea Bailey Benefit Saturday at The Ranch
The Benefit is this Saturday at The Ranch. It will start with a Motorcycle Run, with registration starting at 9:30 a.m.
Fee is $20 per rider or $25 with passenger.
First bike out will be at 11 a.m. and last bike in at 4 p.m. All bikes, trikes, cars and trucks welcome on the ride.
Stops will include War Horse Saloon in Thorndale, Pancho & Lefty’s in Hare, Cliff’s Tavern in Rockdale, Nat’s in Milano and The Oak Club in Pettibone.
“Mike and Andrea are life long residents of the Rockdale and Thorndale area and they have been friends of mine just as long,” said Charles Starr, Bike Run organizer.
“This Benefit and Run will help ease some of the financial burden from the medical expences from Andrea’s treatments. Your support will greatly be appreciated.”
Chili will be $5 per bowl and serving starts at 10:30 a.m.,
A live auction will start at 2:30 p.m. and there will also be music provided by Scott Leonard.
Andrea has been diagnosed with stage IIIB Cervical cancer involving the lymph nodes. She is currently undergoing weekly chemo, daily radiation and other treatments for multiple blood clots that have formed.
Due to the effects of the treatments, Andrea is unable to work and has no medical insurance.
Andrea is married to Michael Bailey, one of my brother Kevin’s best friends. They have three daughters, Kayley Bailey Westbrook, Brittany Bailey, Whitney Bailey and one son, Michael Bailey.
They also have two grandchildren Lyndon and Addyson.
Andrea and Michael have volunteered a lot of hours with various sports leagues, boy scouts and girl scouts.
Bottom line is, they need our help. I know first hand how medical bills can cause financial problems, but I can’t imagine the bills associated with these treatments.
If you are unable to attend on Saturday and would still like to help, there is a bank account set up at Rockdale Federal Credit Union under “Andrea Bailey Benefit.”
Besides monetary donations, they are also needing donations for the live auction. Please call 512-446-2890 or 446-6596 to donate or for more information.
