COLLEGE STATION—When brand new Texas A& M head football coach Kevin Sumlin announced the majority of his first Aggie coaching staff last Friday, one name should be familiar to Aggie and Rockdale fans alike.
Larry Jackson will follow Sumlin from Houston to Texas A& M to oversee the strength and conditioning program, a job he held down at Houston for six years. Full Story
Tigers 16th victory secures first winning season since 1997

The No. 7 Thorndale Lady Dogs (25-2, 10- 0) could clinch a playoff spot next week if they continue their winning ways, as they took down two more District 27-2A opponents over the last seven days.

MILANO—It has been tough sledding for the Milano Lady Eagles as of late, but they veered back on Tuesday night with a crucial win over Holland at Geneva Paceley Gym.
The Lady Hornets got the better of Milano in the first meeting of the two teams earlier this month, but on Tuesday, the Lady Eagles were able to come from behind to win 42-32. Full Story

Thorndale rebounds after Jarrell setback
Bulldogs still on track for a playoff berth
The Thorndale Bulldogs rebounded from a spanking from a ranked Jarrell team by taking out their frustrations on Florence 53-34 Tuesday night on the road.
The Bulldogs stand 16-7 overall and 6-2 in District 13-2A competition.
Thorndale used a 23-point outburst to distance themselves from Florence for a 44-26 lead. Full Story
Jones named to all-star team in Houston league
HOUSTON—Rylan Jones is a member of the mighty Houston East Bethel Cowboys Freshman Level (7-8 yr olds) where he plays center.
This year the team was undef eated going into the Super Bowl against the Bears.
Jones was chosen a long with six other team members to represent the Cowboys in the All Star Tournament at FUN Stadium. Full Story
