‘HOPE’ HAPPENS—A pregnancy resource center is coming to downtown at 231 E. Cameron Ave. Place of Hope, a Christian-based outreach, will serve Milam and surrounding counties, giving women of all ages a place to go for counseling and other pregnancy needs. The building was donated to the group to use specifically as a pregnancy center and All Pride Roofing donated a new roof for the building. The Texas Baptist Mens group will come during spring break to work inside the building as a mission project. Above, the group of ladies spearheading the center start the remodel process, (l-r) Mary Phillips, Ginger Green, Kathleen Brannam, JoAnn Browning. Not pictured Donna Pipkin and Suzanne Turner.
