Rodriguez announces for constable’s post


Rodriguez Rodriguez Randy Rodriguez has announced his intention to seek the Republican nomination for Milam County Constable in Precinct 1, in the 2012 pr imar y election.

Rodriguez filed his appointme nt of campaign treasurer with the Milam County Clerk’s Office on Januar y 23rd. His statement of candidacy follows:

“I am seeking the Republican nomination based on my conservative beliefs, which include hard work, personal ethics, strong family values and self-discipline. I am committed to working cooperatively with the voters of Milam County.

“I have served Milam County nearly seven years as a county jailer, dispatcher, and deputy sheriff.

“I currently maintain a Texas Peace Officer’s License, County Jailer’s License and Telecommunication’s license from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

“I am a 1997 Yoe High graduate, recently graduated from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor cum laude with a bachelor’s of arts degree in Spanish, a minor in education, and have also earned an “all level” Early Childhood through 12 Spanish teaching certification with the Texas Education Agency.

“I have chosen to serve in Milam County where I began my career as a peace officer for over six years. Four of those years have been here, in Milam County, and I have done my best to serve the needs our citizens and pledge to continue serving them once elected.

“I will be a full time employee of Milam County and I promise to treat each of our citizens honorably, with respect, and courtesy.

“I plan on building, improving and maintaining the relationships with the citizens of Precinct 1, fellow county and city employees, and visitors within our county.
