Stence Stence KATY— Funeral services for Mat t hew Rober t Stence, 21, were held Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Memor ial Lut heran Church in Katy with Rev. John F. Davis Jr. and Rev. Mel Newma n of f ic iating. A graveside service was held later that day at Freeman Family Cemetery in Lexington with Rev. Leif Hasskarl officiating.

Mr. Stence died on Friday, Jan. 27, at his home in Katy.

He was born on Oct. 16, 1990, in Katy to Robert Walter and Jennifer Lee Freeman Stence.

He was a life-long resident of Katy and 2009 graduate of Katy High School.

Sur vivors are his parents, Robert and Jennifer Stence of Katy; two sisters, Sarah Danna and husband Chr istopher of Lexington, Ellen Stence of Katy; his grandparents, Doug and Susie Freeman and Shelby and Jeanette Stence, all of Lexington; his great-grandmother, Leona Freeman of Katy; a nephew, Cole Danna; a niece, Ansley Danna; his aunts and uncles, Tim and Glenda Stence, Theresa Stence, Lauren and Kelly Dyer, Allison and Robbie Callegari, Shannon and Russell Heller; his girlfriend, Holly Ridgway of Katy; and special friends, Brett and Connie Ridgway; also, numerous other relatives and friends.
