Last Wednesday night a bright object flashed through the skies of Texas into Oklahoma.
It was a meteor. Caused quite a stir in some circles. A number of people thought it was “a UFO.”

There’s a fair amount of anxiety every two years when the UIL announces its school realignment for the next biennium.
Which old rivals will stay and which will go? How far will our sports road trips be?

Ogden gets Golden Apple Award
Last Tuesday I had the distinct honor of presenting Senator Steve Ogden with a Golden Apple Award from the Texas Association of Mid Size Schools (TAMS) during the annual Texas Association of School Administrators Mid-Winter Conference. The TAMS organization is composed of over 200 school districts that receive state funding through the Mid-Size School Adjustment. Full Story
